Meeting their partner soon after their arrival, they form a rescue team to assist Pokémon in need of help. Having lost their memory, the player enters a world affected by an imbalance in nature, resulting in a growing number of natural disasters. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, Blue Rescue Team, and Rescue Team DX, the player is a human who has been transformed into a Pokémon. Despite this, some of these humans have become partners with Pokémon, such as Gardevoir and Grovyle. In addition to Pokémon, only a few humans are known to live in this world, leading to their existence being mostly relegated to fairy tales, myths, and legends. Some of these Pokémon have organized into rescue and exploration teams, exploring mystery dungeon and rescuing Pokémon needing help.
